1. Translation
I translate from English and European Spanish to French. Grasping all the nuances of the source text is extremely important to me, and I strive to make all types of text (be it marketing, descriptive, or dialog) sound as natural as possible in my native language. I love translating humor, especially puns and plays on words. Coming up with creative and funny names for creatures, levels, achievements and characters is what gets my gears grinding! And if context calls for it, I sometimes indulge in the odd dad joke or obscure reference that only the geekest of the geeks will catch!

2. Proofreading
Because four eyes are usually better than two, I can also review translations which have been realized by my peers, making sure the text is 100% error-free (did I mention I’m a spelling and grammar freak?) and improving it whenever possible or necessary.

3. Quality Assurance (QA)
Once translations have been imported in a game’s engine, who better than a linguist to make sure that the text has been correctly implemented? That there are no cutoffs, no overlappings, no widows and orphans (pesky French and their pesky non-breakable spaces!), and that this button text, once seen in context, should probably have been translated in a different way? Trust a professional linguist AND gamer to make sure your game is running as smoothly in French as it does in its source language!

4. Project Management
Need your 150k-word game translated into 15 languages? Can do. A short Steam page in 28 languages? Child’s play. Maybe you’d like the demo of your game tested by linguists before that upcoming Steam event? On it already. Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the opportunity to manage a slew of projects of various types and sizes, and I’m confident in my ability to lead them to fruition by surrounding myself with the best linguists in activity.
